All in all, this is board is a pretty nice travel chess set. I was somewhat disappointed though at the strength of the magnets, as they were just a tiny bit weaker than I imagined based on some descriptions i had heard or read. But i am happy with the purchase and this board is very useful for studying chess books either at home or traveling.
This is a great board! Good quality, and I get tons of compliments on it. A little pricey but not bad
My 4 year old daughter and I have been putting this to good use over the last few days as she learns how to play checkers. It's been nice to stop when she gets distracted and pick up in a day or two!
I've been eyeing getting one of these boards for a while. I am very happy with my purchase. The materials used are good quality for the price. I will most likely buy the mini board in the future.
My son recently joined chess club. I bought this so we could play on the go. It’s a great product! Well made, great design, saves our games perfectly (none of the magnets move a millimeter), and is highly portable.

Brought the xl board on a trip to the Bahamas and was able to pick up the games where ever we were. Whether you have 10 minutes and hour on a boat or tour bus this is the board for you!

Yes you can save plays, just roll it up and the pieces will stay in place. The only thing I wish was different is the pieces themselves! It would be sick if they had shape instead of just stickers.

It's lightweight, the 3-D pieces can be distinguished, and the magnets on the 3-D pieces are sturdy. The chess board rolls up well.
Very portable and incredibly well made! A great set for your vehicle, pack, or suitcase.
Got my son this board for Christmas this year and he's used it nonstop in the last month. The board is made very well, and these pieces are quality and look great for their size. They're designed to roll up with the board.
Also, the creator is not a jerk.

I was excited to receive this for Christmas. My board was slightly damaged upon arrival. But venture board resolved the issue quickly. Fun product for traveling. The magnets are strong.
I like the board, but the main issue is that the “slats” that make up the board are not level. This means there is no sliding pieces, they must be picked up and moved.
We love playing chess...and part of the experience is the feel of the pieces in your fingers. Most compact travel sets are 2D magnets that are difficult to pick up and move and are unsatisfying to the touch. Not this board! This board is excellent design. The experience for the players was thoughtfully designed, including turn markers, extra queens, and additional piece stickers. Icons are recognizable, the 3D pieces are easy to move, stay in place and for a compact travel set is satisfying to use. No compromises here! I was hesitant about the price, but it's well worth it.
Nice feel, sturdy but lightweight construction. S class on the go set with satisfying magnet feel.
Only complaint is pieces drift slightly when set to game start and the board is closed, but it's so minor in light of a brilliant design. They just need a tad shaved off height. Maybe solve flipping poles when placing, too.
